Youth Program

The local community expressed challenges with keeping 6-8th graders engaged on the path to higher education.

Create a program that fosters ongoing relationships between middle and high schoolers to promote the importance of higher education and provide exposure to different career pathways.

A program was proposed to empower 9th-12th grade leaders to mentor and support middle school students. Participation in the program is based on membership with established guidelines and parent involvement.  The program would be a partnership between the local High School and Outreach Center.

PathLynks developed each of the following components of the project:

  • Needs assessment

  • Stakeholder engagement

  • Program content
